Small Wonders: The Art of Making Miniatures

Adult Course | Registration opens 5/6/2025 7:00 AM MDT

Do you think big but want to work tiny? Are you fascinated by all things pocket-sized? Miniature-making is about making the world smaller and furnishing it as you see fit. Throughout this hands-on course you'll learn how to design and decorate your own miniature 12"x12" room, while learning about the rich and fascinating history of the art form. Little by little, students will learn how to make miniature furniture, art, plants and decor using materials like clay, cardboard, fabric, paint, wood and paper. It's a small world with plenty of room for students of all experience levels in this highly interactive and individualized course.

Learning Objectives:
Each class, students will learn different methods for creating a miniature version of a piece of furniture, art or décor, with a short historical lesson about the history of miniature-making as it applies to that day’s lesson.
