How Not To Create Mud - Painting with Color

The class is geared for all levels with a goal towards developing your own style of painting.
We all have an untaped reservoir of creativity within us. We will have a model for some of the classes to explore additional painting development. This class explores tools and techniques in painting to help you develop a painting style that is within you and is your own.
We will explore Color, Value and Hue and Composition by painting on multiple canvases simultaneously and developing new ideas over the workshop. Utilize various medias within the paint, such as raw charcoal sketch, wax, or texture.
Painting panels (4) 18” x 24”
Painting panels (4) 9” x 12”
Instructor will provide panels if needed
Color Wheel
Oil or Acrylic paints .
Paint Colors should include the following:
White
French Ultramarine blue
Perm. alizarine crimson
Sap green
Phaloe green
Cadmium yellow Hue
Cadmium red light
Dioxazine Purple -Optional
burnt sienna -Optional
Stay wet palette box or paint storage box etc.
Paint Brushes
palate knives
gloves for oil paints
Spray Water bottle for acrylic paints
Oil Medias
Odorless mineral spirits such as Gamsol for oil painters
Brush washer etc.
