Build Your Own Frame Loom & Learn to Weave
Adult Course | Registration opens 8/5/2025 10:00 AM MDT
Sunday Right-brain Rhythmic Relax...In our first class, participants will learn about different weft-face weaving traditions historically and globally, including useful vocabulary terms, and then we will all build their own continuous warp frame looms. The following weeks we will sample and discover many decorative and functional ways to weave with the two heddle system we build.
The looms become your property and can function well until you potentially grow out of the art form and need a better loom. The instructor sold woven pillows in downtown Chicago weaving on such a loom as an emerging artist, that much versatility and control can be achieved.
- All materials will be provided but having a variety of weaving strings can be really fun. Feel free to begin collecting yarns, strings, and threads that you come across or already have
