Intro to Felting: Using Alpaca Fiber

This course will teach participants the basics of felt making. We will explore shapes that can be made in the wet felting technique as well as a needle felting preview. Participants will go home with flat and 3D shapes that can be used in an assortment of ways.
At the completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
1) Describe natural fibers, especially the properties of Alpaca fiber.
2) Create shapes (Coil, ball, flat) using the wet felting method.
3) Create shapes and add details using the needle felting technique
*Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting wet.
