Solar plate printmaking is an exciting, diverse and flexible nontoxic intaglio medium. This class will have a demonstration on how to make and print a solar plate. Some of the techniques we will cover include traditional-looking etching, photo etching, embossing, relief, and images that look like traditional hand drawn lithographs. I will also show prints and plates and discuss more advanced multiple plate techniques. This medium is great for artists that like to draw, collage or work with photography.
