Simplifying Watercolor: A simple way to paint with watercolors

This class is about a simple way to paint with watercolors.
It is for a beginner, or anyone who tried watercolor in the past with out success.
Primarily the class is for anyone who loves the joy magic and playfulness of watercolors.
Learning Objectives:
Learn to pencil sketch for light and shadow shapes and for composition.
Simple transferring method of sketches and photos to watercolor paper. Simple applications of paint, brushwork, washes, that are unique to watercolor painting.
Paints:
1- Winsor Blue (green shade)
2- French Ultramarine
3- Cobalt Blue
4- Cerulean Blue
5- Burnt Umber
6- Burnt sienna
7- Light Red
8- Cadmium Red
9- Raw Umber
10- Raw Siena
11- Aurelian Yellow
12- Cadmium Lemon.
Optional paints:
13- Payne’s Gray (or Ivory Black)
14- Cobalt Violet
15- Viridian Green
16- Alizarin Crimson
17- Cadmium Orange
18- Titanium White
You can get by with buying just:
1-2 blue,
1-2 yellow,
1-2 reds + umber & sienna
Brushes: Small variety of sizes with some large ones.
Watercolor Palette.
Watercolor paper: Spiral book, OR bound watercolor paper pads
Sketch book: 9X12 or similar sizes

Attended The Art Students League of New York and received his AA in Fine Arts from The Parsons School of Design. Josh has been a working and exhibiting artist since 1983. He's taught painting a various schools including: CU Boulder, Naropa University, Scottsdale Art School, and currently at the Art Students League of Denver.
