Jackie quickly surpassed her mom’s and grandmother’s sewing abilities. After 12 semesters of clothing construction in Jr and Sr high school, Jackie earned a degree in Fashion Design and worked in the Fashion industry for over 20 years as an assistant designer / patternmaker. She also has created numerous one-of-a-kind garments for clients as well as many home-dec projects. Jackie has been teaching many different Fiber Arts classes at The Art Students League of Denver since 2015. Before that she taught Fashion Design classes at Emily Griffith Community College part-time for 5 years in Draping, Costuming, Patternmaking and Sewing construction. In February of 2020, Jackie retired after 17 years with Denver’s largest local theater company: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Jackie enjoyed the creativity and challenges immensely, thriving as a costume technician (draper).
