A centuries old art form, Embroidery is still prevalent in our modern day. Embroidery is a very calming and tactile art form that has a way of creating an artistic community around it. This class is a true beginners guide to embroidery. In this one-day class designed for students who have never even picked up a needle, we will explore the materials and basic techniques of embroidery. By the end of class you will know how to prepare a hoop, how to use embroidery thread, how to thread and use embroidery needles, and how to stitch five stitch styles along with ample time to practice with the instructor present for one-on-one help. Additional materials and resources will be handed out at the end of class so you may continue your practice at home.
