In this 3 session workshop, we will begin making traditional sock monkeys. The monkey will be hand sewn using two socks for the body, arms and tail, and stuffed. Buttons, ribbons, pom poms etc., will be added to give each monkey it’s unique character. In our second and third sessions, after we have become familiar with sewing, stuffing, attaching arms and tails, making ears and sewing on eyes, we will move on to our own creations. We will begin with a simple pattern and cut up felted woolen sweaters and other found materials to create our creatures. Let your imagination go wild and have fun! These little guys could turn out to be great stocking stuffers!

Students do not need any previous experience. This is a beginning class.
