Teen Studio Night | Indigo Dye

Youth Class | Registration opens 2/3/2026 10:00 AM MST

Use this live, bubbling bucket of the world's most famous blue dye, Indigo, to make iron-on patches and a bandana. In this one-session class we will practice the Japanese art of Shibori, a more detailed and extremely nice tie-dye adjacent resist form of dying. We will lower our art into the dye vat and pull it out green, and watch it change to blue as it oxidizes.

  • Must be able to thread a needle and make knots in thread or string
This class is open to HS students ages 16+ looking for advanced classes - at the top of the “Read More” section for additional options or contact our registration office for a list of classes.
  • All supplies will be included
