A Simple Approach to Painting
Adult Class | Registration opens 2/3/2026 10:00 AM MST
This class will teach how to see the subject in a simple way and then translate that into the painting. Students will learn how to begin a painting by placing the main shapes, adding light and shadow, and then color. Finally, we will complete the painting with details.
OIL PAINTS:
RED, YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, WHITE AND BROWN.
Bottle of alkid.
Paint thinner and a jar big enough for cleaning brushes
ACRYLICS:
RED, YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, WHITE and BROWN.
Jar for water big enough for cleaning brushes.
Several brushes in large to small sizes.
Pad of palette paper.
Roll of paper towels.
Stretched 20’x24” canvas
