Decorative Paper and One Page Books

In this two-session workshop students will make decorative paper that will be made into simple one-page books and covers. To inspire creativity, students will see examples of different qualities of decorative paper.
During the first session, techniques will be demonstrated, and students will work to create a collection of different papers that will include rubbings, paste paper, stamping and Japanese methods.
At the second session there will be a demonstration of how to make a variety of one-page books. Students will make one-page books using our own decorative paper. This is a beginner class and does not require previous bookmaking experience. Students are encouraged to have fun with the process.
- Students are encouraged to bring a variety of paper in different sizes at least 8.5”x11” but not larger than 18” x 24”.
All other supplies will be provided.
