Quilling is an art form using rolled paper strips that are shaped and glued together to create decorative filigree. It has been around for hundreds of years - today it isn’t just for decoration. Elevated to abstract and representational 3D drawing with depth and dimension, these paper strips aren’t just for greeting cards anymore.
- Workshop will teach the foundations of quilling which entails rolling strips of different widths of paper into coils then manipulating them into shapes and gluing them to a surface to create representational or abstract imagery.
- Students need to bring a piece of card stock or foam-core approx. 8"x11" in size or larger, glue stick.
