Join us for a two-session workshop where we will explore a variety of ways to transfer images on to different paper types of a standard size. These pages will be incorporated into the interlocking book. This book construction allows for opportunities for all levels of skill and experience.
Image transferring adds richness and mystery to the artist’s work. Samples of different transfer techniques will inspire student’s creativity.
First session: Students will learn and practice the “how” of transferring images that will include the following: wintergreen oil and other solvents, gel medium, heat, clear plastic packing tape, stencils to name a few.
Second session: Students will construct an interlocking book that will hold the pages created in the first class. In addition, students will continue to explore and make additional pages to complete their book.
