ONLINE Embodied Image: From Sensation to Visual Form
Intergenerational | Registration opens 5/5/2026 9:00 AM MDT
This workshop explores how internal sensation can be translated into visual language. Participants investigate how a felt experience can become form, line, texture, color, and composition.
Each session begins with a brief embodied attention practice and culminates in sustained visual production. Through expanded drawing and mixed media processes, students experiment with layering, material responsiveness, and compositional development.
The course emphasizes process, materiality, and contemporary visual language. It is designed for artists and adult learners interested in deepening their studio practice through perceptual awareness and material exploration.
Adriana Rondón
I am a visual and performance artist from Caracas, Venezuela, living in California. I use my body, photography, video and poetry to tell stories. My work is about my healing journey and my connection with my surroundings. I am interested in using performances and poetic actions that use movement, elements of the plastic arts and technological resources as means of expression. My work is influenced by dance, yoga and my meditations. I am interested in community, people and the social fabric of the city, and incorporating these elements in my artistic work. I use the streets as my stage and allow the participation of the spectators in my work.
