Explore the diversity of ink-based media. Ink is a flexible media that is beautiful in any style, place, or time and you will learn its basics so you may add this all-round media to your personal “artistic tool belt”. This class puts emphasis on learning shading techniques using ink by introducing one new ink material each class with step-by-step instruction, followed by individual practice working from still lives.

Your student fee covers alcohol makers, ball point pens, micron pens, sharpies, a calligraphy pen, ink and special papers. All supplies can be taken home and kept!

You are not expected to bring any materials with you, but a personal sketchbook is recommended. All supplies will be provided.

Day1: Ball point pens, and Sharpies.
Day2: White ball point bens, micron pens, and alcohol markers.
Day3: Dip pen and ink.
Day4: Painting with ink.
