Drawing the Costumed Figure

Through demonstration from the instructor, students will learn fundamental knowledge and strategies for good drawing, including perspective, positive and negative space, capturing angles and gesture, proportions, and value to create form.
Students will get help and feedback from the instructor while they do their own drawing, working from a live costumed model.
Mitch Caster
Mitch Caster worked as an illustrator and courtroom artist for 9News for many years. His oil paintings – found in numerous private collections around the world, and galleries around the country – have been nationally recognized. He is an award-winning artist, and Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society, and American Society of Marine Artists. He recently received an Award of Merit at the 2022 Colorado Governor’s Art Show and Sale.
