History of Abstraction Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn what it means to paint an abstract painting.
The history of Abstraction tells us that the philosophy behind each abstract movement had
different inspirations and objectives. We will explore those inspirations and objectives, and
make a painting based on each movement’s concerns.

Sandra Kaplan
Kaplan's paintings have been exhibited internationally, most recently in the Art Gallery of the Fulginiti Center for Bioethics and Humanities, on the CU/Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Her work has been recognized in the New York Times, Art in America and other publications. She is a former secretary of the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art|Denver.
