Fundamentals of Drawing for Success
Adult Class | Registration opens 11/3/2026 10:00 AM MDT
Through demonstration from the instructor, students will learn fundamental knowledge and strategies for good drawing, including perspective, positive and negative space, capturing angles and gesture, proportions, and value to create form. Students will get help and feedback from the instructor while they do their own drawings of objects, and ending with working from a live costumed model.
- Soft Vine or Willow Charcoal Sticks;
- Kneaded Eraser;
- Newsprint or Bond;
- Drawing Board:
- 1 Sheet of Charcoal Paper per Class;
- Fixative (not to be used in class)

His oil paintings – found in numerous private collections around the world, and galleries around the country – have been nationally recognized. He is an award-winning artist, and Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society, and American Society of Marine Artists. He recently received an Award of Merit at the 2022 Colorado Governor’s Art Show and Sale.
