In this beginner friendly oil painting class, we will learn the fundamentals and create work in a supportive and relaxed environment. We will learn about materials and the principles of value, color, composition and form through guided exercises, still life painting, and painting from reference. No prior experience is required. Whether you're new to oil painting or looking to strengthen skills, this class will give you an understanding of materials and technique while encouraging creativity and confidence in your own personal imagination and painting process. I like to encourage freedom to explore while giving a good technical foundation to build from.
