This class will introduce students to the essential materials used in oil painting and provide guidance on fundamental techniques.

We will start by working from still life references and go over the basics of value, color and composition through some observational painting. After that you will have the freedom to paint whatever you'd like as the class progresses.

This class is meant to be non-threatening and welcoming for beginners or first-time oil painters!
