Wire in Bloom: Exploring Organic Forms

Sampler | Registration opens 11/3/2026 10:00 AM MDT

Discover the expressive possibilities of wire as you transform simple metal strands into delicate, three-dimensional creations inspired by the natural world. In this beginner-friendly sampler workshop, we’ll explore wire as a form of drawing in space, using bending, shaping, twisting, and connecting techniques to create organic forms with movement, texture, and personality.
Students will experiment with creating botanical-inspired pieces, sculptural studies, and nature-inspired forms while learning how wire can be used to capture gesture, balance, and structure. Projects may include flowers, leaves, vines, seed pods, abstract forms, or other small wire creations inspired by nature.
No previous experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore this versatile material.
