Is there Room for Ambiguity?
Covering a 27 year studio practice, this lecture presents Matt Kelleher’s development as a potter and his notion that pottery is far more expansive in its ability to carry idea then we realize. He will introduce his development of high temp and midrange soda fired surfaces along with the evolution of form through pitchers, jars and serving bowls. Many of the works he will show are handbuilt and demonstrate a slower, considered result. Matt will also speak about his time teaching at Alfred University.
