Explore movement concepts, develop dance skills, strengthen the body and brain, connect with others, and have fun stretching your imagination in creative dance classes. Skills become more challenging throughout the year and progress with age level.

  • Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
Jackson, Kechelle

Kechelle Jackson (she/her), a Seattle native, has a background in dance, sports, and music, which led to an enriching career in youth services and Early Childhood Education. In 2013 Kechelle joined the faculty of CDC after training with Anne Green Gilbert. At CDC she pursues her passion of working together with learning communities, young children, and families, to foster and enhance social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. In 2013 Kechelle founded Emerald City Creative Arts (ECCA) a unique program that specializes in providing quality experiences for young children using BCDE and BrainDance to provide movement enrichment in schools across the Greater Seattle area.
