Come have a "SUPERcalifragilisticexpialidocious" summer with Mary Poppins Musical Theatre Camp at Creative Dance Center! We'll sing, dance, and tell magical stories using our full body and voice expression. This camp will be "Practically Perfect" in every way and "Spoonful of Sugar" sweet! "Step In Time" and explore these fun characters, classic tunes, and energetic dances. We will also create some amazing crafts to use in our songs and to celebrate "The Perfect Nanny", Mary Poppins. We hope to see you this summer!

If CDC guidelines and Covid protocols allow, we will present our mini-musical at the end of the week for family.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
Hutchison, Carly Squires

Carly Squires Hutchison (she/her) has taught musical theatre camps at CDC since 2017. She attended the Summer Dance Institute for Teachers training in Brain-Compatible Dance Education in 2018. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and Minor in Dance Performance from Central Washington University. Carly is a full-time teaching artist, director/choreographer, and performer. She teaches dance and musical theater locally at Creative Dance Center, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and Village Theatre KIDSTAGE. Carly has directed and choreographed many musicals around town, and some of her favorites are Willy Wonka JR., Seussical KIDS, The Drowsy Chaperone, 42nd Street, and The Addams Family.
