Art in Motion explores dance and art through the works of creative artists. Each day we discover a new artist/style and the connections between visual art and dance concepts. Artists Harriet Powers (Story Collages), Claude Monet (Landscape Paintings), Giuseppe Arcimboldo (Optical Illusion Portraits), and M. C. Escher (Tessellation Pictures) will inspire our creations! Art in Motion engages creativity through kinesthetic and visual/spatial learning experiences. Paint shirts are provided, but come prepared to work with paint and other messy art.

If CDC guidelines and Covid protocols allow, camp will conclude with an inspiring art walk and movement presentation for friends and family.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet. Dress for mess!
