Ballet reimagined! Warming up with the BrainDance prepares students for barre and center work. Ballet technique continues to develop as do more complex movement explorations, alone and with partners. Composition skills are nurtured by introducing more choreographic tools and devices to dancers. We teach more than steps and technique. Innovative brain-compatible ballet supports expression, agency, and artistry. 

Creative Dance Center COVID-19 health and safety protocols include but are not limited to: masks required for students and guardians ages 2 and up, regardless of vaccination status, to enter the building, during class, and at drop off and pick up; required Assumption of Risk/Health Screening/Release of Liability Form must be filled out for all students before each session; only staff, faculty, and students are allowed to stay in the building during class; required vaccine verification form must be completed for all people age 12 and older who are entering the building; if you and/or your student age 12+ cannot provide proof of full vaccination, a negative COVID-19 lab administered test taken within 72 hours needs to be provided before entering the building (King County mandate). Anna Mansbridge

Anna Mansbridge (she/her) is Artistic Director of Kaleidoscope Dance Company and Mosaic Dance Company and a frequent choreographer for both companies. She has been on faculty at CDC since 1999, teaching dance to all ages. She holds a First Class Honors Degree in Dance and Education from Bedford College, UK, and an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College, CA. Anna co-directs the one-week Summer Dance Institute for Teachers with Terry Goetz, and she gives workshops in Brain-Compatible Dance Education both locally and internationally. She is Founder and Artistic Director of Seattle Early Dance and has directed/choreographed a number of early operas and concerts. Anna is the former Chair of dance and the Child international (daCi) USA.
