Stories come to life as we spark imagination and movement using the rich language and art of children’s literature. Books jump off the page as students explore character and plot using the elements of dance and make art projects inspired by our reading and story-making. Each dancer contributes creativity to the pot to stir up an Original Dancing Story that gets written throughout the week!

If CDC guidelines and COVID protocols allow, dancers will share their creativity with family in an informal presentation on the last day of camp.

For current COVID-19 safety protocols visit www.creativedance.org/classes-workshops/#covid-19. This info page will be updated as policy changes occur, and detailed information for Summer Session health and safety procedures will be emailed to registered students before the start of camps and classes. Creative Dance Center follows or exceeds all state, county, and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
