A fun and creative introduction to ballet class. Students explore developmentally appropriate ballet vocabulary and movement skills through the dance concepts. Musicality, improvisation, skill development, and the fundamentals of choreography are taught with an emphasis on nurturing the creative voice of each student.

  • Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Hair should be pulled back from the face. Ballet shoes are not required for this class.
Oie, Amanda

Amanda Oie (she/her) is from Seattle, WA and received her BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts. She has danced with ARC Dance Company, Walrus Dance Company, Maureen Whiting Dance Company, Wade Madsen, Vivian Little, and Daniel Linehan. Her choreography has been presented at On The Boards' 12 Minutes Max, Velocity Dance Center and Northwest Film Forum. As a teacher she is excited to inspire students to find their love and passion for dance and discover expression and technique through the joy of movement.
