Ballet I/II

A holistic ballet class (includes barre and center work) where the dance concepts are used to deepen learning and foster self-expression. Individual, partner, and small group improvisations support social-emotional learning. Students develop composition skills by creating their own dances.
- Clothing: Dance clothes such as leotards, tights, leggings, dance skirts/shorts worn over leotard and tights, sweatpants, shorts. Hair should be pulled back from the face. Ballet shoes required.
Anna Mansbridge
Anna Mansbridge (she/her) has been on faculty at CDC since 1999 and directed Kaleidoscope Dance Company from 2014-2023. She holds a First Class Honors Degree in Dance and Education from Bedford College, UK, and an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College, CA. Anna co-directed the one-week Summer Dance Institute for Teachers with Terry Goetz, and she gives workshops in Brain-Compatible Dance Education both locally and internationally. She is Founder and Artistic Director of Seattle Early Dance and has directed/choreographed a number of early operas and concerts. Anna serves as Secretary for the Executive Committee of dance and the Child international (daCi).
