Have you ever heard a song that perfectly fits your thoughts and how you’re feeling? Have you experienced a dance that lets you feel emotions in a way you can’t put words to? Together we will build the skills for a creative process with Lyrical dance – exploring different artists, lyrics, and poems. Picture yourself dancing with a song and feeling every word connect with your artistry. Get ready to move, grow, and dance while letting the words inspire you! Dancers and artists share their creativity with family in an informal presentation on the last day of camp.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
See, Dominique

Dominique See (she/her) grew up in southern Washington, and started dancing at the age of three at the Columbia Gorge Dance Academy. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Washington. Dominique majored in dance and minored in education. While she was at UW, she worked with Hannah Wiley as the Assistant to the Director for the Chamber Dance Company. Dominique stage managed for multiple productions, and was the president of the Dance Student Association for two years. After graduating in 2017, Dominique went through a year long Pilates teacher training program and became a certified Pilates teacher. She currently owns her own Pilates studio, Genki Pilates, where she teaches in Ballard. Specializing in private Pilates sessions, she's used this chance to also offer an artist sliding scale option to make Pilates more accessible. Dominique has professionally danced in Seattle for the last six years, most notably dancing for Pat Graney Dance Company and MALACARNE. She is pursuing a Masters in Dance Education through the University of North Colorado to further her education. Teaching movement is her passion, and she is so excited to expand her teaching world at the Creative Dance Center.
