Dance isn't all about technique, it's about sharing and showing the human experience. But how do we tell a story without using words? Explore how to physicalize and evoke different emotions using a variety of theatrical and drama based exercises, combined with dance concepts. We’ll examine how the face and eyes can open a window into the dancer's story, and how our body creates its own language. This camp is great for all levels of dancers! Come be an emotional scientist and learn how to communicate without saying a word. Dancers, actors, and artists share their creativity with family in an informal presentation on the last day of camp.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc.  Students dance in bare feet.
  • Want to extend your camp day? Campers age 9 and 10 can join Musical Theatre Camp - Matilda the Musical 9:30am-12:30pm Aug 14-18 for a full day of fun! Register for Musical Theatre Camp - Matilda the Musical on our website and use Coupon Code SummerFun2023 to receive a $40 discount on the second camp (coupon only eligible when combining camps in the same week for the same student).
