The roots of jazz, ballet, and modern dance run deep! Join us for a fun week of discovery with dance classes in all three styles. Understanding the lineage and history of these dance forms allows us to explore and follow the branches that grew and continue growing from the roots. Your creativity and unique voice will become part of the exciting and ever changing world of dance! Dancers and artists share their creativity with family in an informal presentation on the last day of camp.

This camp will be held on July 4th.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.  For ballet and jazz days, ballet slippers and/or jazz shoes are optional.  Email terry@creativedance.org for shoe recommendations.


  • Want to extend your camp day? Campers 7-9 yrs old can join EnviroDance camp 1:00pm-3:30pm July 1-5 for a full day of fun with a discount! Register for EnviroDance camp on our website and use Coupon Code CampFun40 to receive a $40 discount on the second camp (coupon only eligible when combining camps in the same week for the same student).

    Full day campers will eat lunch in our waiting room with teacher supervision during the break from 12:30-1:00pm.
Bierly, Tiffany

Tiffany Bierly (she/her) is a Seattle-based educator, choreographer and performer, with an MFA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University as well as a BA in Theater and a BS in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University. Over the past eleven years, she has instructed dance and fitness classes at various universities, studios, and senior centers. Tiffany has performed in works by Elisha Clark Halpin, Christie Bonade, Sarah Gamblin, and in dance films directed by Jordan Fuchs, Melissa Sanderson and Yea Jean Choi. Since relocating to Seattle, Tiffany has danced for Melissa Sanderson, Emily Curtiss, Peter Kohring, Leah Russell, LanDforms Dance, and Gedney Barclay. Additionally, she is the ‘tiff’ part of tiffana, a collaborative duo with Ana Puzycki. tiffana has presented work in ‘Monomyth I’ and 'Soft Concrete I.'

Caplan, Sara

Sara Caplan (she/her) is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist originally from Dedham, MA. She received her BA Theatre: Dance Performance and her BS in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2013 and her MFA in Dance from the College at Brockport in 2017. She has performed in works choreographed by Kendra Portier, Laura Petersen (NY), Maura Keefe, and Beth Gill. Since moving to Seattle Sara has performed in Soft Concrete III, Velocity’s Bridge Project, and Full Tilt. She has presented works in various theatres and urban venues in Pennsylvania and New York as well as in Seattle. Sara has 10 years of experience teaching in studio and has taught at the Pennsylvania State University, The College at Brockport, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Slippery Rock University.
