Celebrate the artist in your child! Includes movement explorations through improvisation, dance skills, story time, visual art projects, and dance-making. Students’ creativity is sparked through hands-on art activities.
This class is for ages 3.5 - 5. The dancer's third birthday must happen by July 27, 2024.
Children will be doing hands-on art projects and should dress accordingly. Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
Monday classes run through June 9th as a 17 week session. There is no class Monday May 26th for Memorial Day.
Annie Hughes
Annie Garlick Hughes (she/her) holds a degree in Dance Education from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. She has been teaching dance for over 15 years in studios, public schools, and community programs. Annie has danced with Artsbridge, Kinnect, Dancesemble and Contemporary Dance Theater (CDT), and has performed in India, China, and around the US. She believes that dance is a vehicle to greater enrichment regardless of age or experience. She loves to see children discover their creativity, decision making skills, and self expression through movement.
