BrainDance: Early Childhood & Primary Grades

Workshop | Available

BrainDance is based on fundamental movement patterns infants move through in the first year of life and continue refining through childhood. Healthy development depends on a strong foundation built by a child’s experiences with movement, touch, and responsive relationships. Using rhymes, rhythmic chants, simple children’s songs, and music, the BrainDance is a playful, multi-sensory, and accessible way to nurture a child’s exploration of self-awareness.

Join us and learn how this unique and flexible movement tool supports physical, cognitive, perceptual, and social-emotional development. For all abilities and disabilities, the BrainDance can be done in any setting including classrooms, homes, libraries, preschools, and dance studios. Daycare providers, early childhood specialists, librarians, elementary teachers, paraeducators, parents, caregivers, OTs, PTs, and dance teachers are all welcome.
