A creative introduction to modern dance! Students explore dance concepts such as Energy, Rhythm, and Pathways and learn and practice movement skills. Rolling, swinging, leaping, jumping, turning - this class builds a foundation for body awareness, coordination, and motor development! Social-emotional skills are strengthened as dancers begin to collaborate and develop self-expression as they create dances using the building blocks of choreographic forms.

  • Clothing: Dress for comfort and ease of movement. Dance clothes such as leotards, footless tights, sweatpants/shorts, leggings, t-shirts, dance skirts, etc. Students dance in bare feet.
