Gentle Ballet (Summer)

Adults | Registration opens 5/14/2026 8:00 AM PDT

Gentle Ballet is a welcoming 60-minute ballet class designed for anyone who wants to reconnect with their body — including pregnant and postpartum parents, caregivers, and adults of all ages. This class offers a spacious, stress-free environment to reconnect with your body, move with ease, and enjoy the simple pleasure of dancing.

Class begins with grounding breathwork and gentle warm-ups to awaken core support, release tension, and honor each dancer’s body. We’ll focus on accessible ballet movement, with an emphasis on fluid, expressive port de bras (carriage of the arms) and supported posture rather than strict technique.

All movement is offered with options. Babywearing is welcome, and many combinations can be done seated or standing at a chair or barre for added stability. For safety reasons, attending babies must either be worn or remain in a car seat — no crawling babies, please. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, rest when needed, and move at their own pace.

No previous dance experience is required — all levels are truly welcome. Gentle Ballet is an open, affirming space for those navigating pregnancy, postpartum, caregiving for children or elders, or anyone seeking to feel more at home in their body while experiencing the grace and joy of ballet.

  • Clothing: comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion; ballet shoes or socks recommended.

    Bring a water bottle.
