The class will begin with an examination of the events that led to the causes of the war. In each succeeding class we will look at each year of the war 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864 and 1865. The class will delve into the political, military and social issues of the war.
Bert Fassett
Bert Fassett has a BA and MA from Cleveland State University. He taught in the Lakewood School System for 25 years. In 1994 and 2002 he was named “Educator of the Year.” In 2016 he was selected for the “Lakewood Staff Hall of Fame.” He also coached middle school basketball for 15 years. He has been married for 42 years and has two sons.
