Biographies, Power, Strategy and Legacy
This class (fall and winter sessions) explores the political, military and ideological leaders who shaped the course of World War II. Each leader had a unique background, ideology and role in the war. Through in-depth analysis, we will review the biographies of the lives of these leaders and their ideologies, strategies and decisions before and during this war. These leaders include: Benito Mussolini (Italy); Hirohito/Tojo (Japan); Adolf Hitler (Germany); Winston Churchill (United Kingdom); Joseph Stalin (Soviet Union); and Franklin Roosevelt (United States). This class will end with a discussion on how these leadership decisions impacted millions of lives and shaped our history forever.
