F25-05 Lincoln and His War REPEAT from Fall '23
Class | Registration opens 8/17/2025 9:00 AM EDT
The star of the political, social, military and moral drama called our Civil War was Abraham Lincoln, who became President of the United States of America - as it was coming apart. His actions not only saved the country but also made it a nation.
In this class, you will get “up close and personal” with Lincoln and other interesting people of that era.
You will: Experience Lincoln personally as a man, politician and humorist. Be there as he writes and then delivers his Gettysburg Address. March with the Yankee and Rebel armies in the last campaign of the war. Ride with Jesse James as he becomes a legend. Be there as John Wilkes Booth plans and then kills Lincoln. Attend a talk by Lincoln himself as he speaks at Ford’s Theater informally on his life and the war.
