Created thousands of years ago to be practiced alongside its sister, yoga, Ayurveda is one of the worlds original health systems. Focusing on prevention and holistic care for not just our physical bodies, but our mental, emotional and spiritual bodies as well. In this course Rachel will share the beauty and wisdom of a practice that embraces nature, encourages the individual to find their own rhythm and rituals as the seasons shift and discovering how your unique make-up can inform the way you look at optimal health and wellness. This eastern system is a fantastic companion to practice alongside not only yoga, but our western medical system as well.
Rachel Metz
Rachel Metz is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor going into her sixth year teaching, and has been practicing herself for 23 years. She also holds certifications and trainings in aromatherapy, Thai yoga massage, Ayurveda and trauma informed yoga work. Rachel teaches vinyasa style yoga, yin and restorative yoga. She believes most importantly that it’s always best to be the student first. She also believes in the magic of the mind, body and heart connection that yoga provides. Having had the privilege of discovering that connection has instilled within her a passion for inspiring and guiding others to find that same magic.
Rachel also holds a BA from Kent State in weaving and textile art, and is currently creating a pathway toward her own textile business. Her other loves include dance, spending time in nature, knitting, reading and blending concoctions with her essential oils.
