S26-35 Quilting: The Fancy Fence Rail Quilt ONGOING
Class | Registration opens 3/8/2026 9:00 AM EST
The Fancy Fence Rail Quilt is very basic, but the border treatment adds pizzazz. This quilt is made from one “Jelly Roll” and a small amount of background yardage and a roll of 2.5 inch by width of fabric strips. This design garnered the most votes from the fall class students. Equipment for this class includes a basic sewing machine with a 1/4-inch foot, an iron and ironing board or ironing mat (one or two for the class), rotary cutting set (mat, ruler and cutter) and basic sewing supplies (straight pins, needles, thread, seam ripper, scissors, thread snips). Fabric requirements include one “Jelly Roll” and some background yardage.
After the quilt top is completed a corresponding amount of batting and fabric for backing will be needed.
No machine required at the first class.
