F26-11 American Cinema in 18 Films - Part 2: 1946-1976 NEW

Class | Registration opens 8/16/2026 9:00 AM EDT

Want a wide-angle look at the history of Hollywood and the evolution of American films? This session is for anyone curious about how movies not only entertain but also reveal the values and ideals of their time. Each week we will watch a film and discuss its impact on Hollywood and American society. This session covers the post-WWII era up through the birth of the blockbuster—including Sweet Smell of Success, Bonnie and Clyde, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and 3 more films—to show how cinema both mirrored and shaped the American experience.

Part I not necessary for this session.
