Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your star-gazing skills, this course will enhance your crisp, clear winter evenings. Learn about the Great Winter Hexagon and use it to find the brightest winter stars and the constellations, Orion, Gemini, Canis Major, Taurus, the Pleiades and others. Learn to locate this winter’s visible planets, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter. We will also describe the changing moon positions and phases.

 

***Please note: week 4 class, Feb 1st, will be held at the Great Lakes Science and Nature Center Planetarium in Bay Village. This session will simulate our night sky.****
