All About Ants

Class - In Person & Zoom | This event is completed

Ants have colonized every continent except Antarctica. This lecture will introduce ants, what they are and why they are integral parts of ecosystems, including our own yards. It will also explore the complex ecologies and natural histories of these insects that everyone "knows" but few understand. Journey through topics of social behavior, symbioses, fungus-growing, defense, and the essential functions of ants to other flora and fauna.
