Daniel Morgan was a commander of General George Washington's Rifle Corps of the Continental Army during the War. Although he had no formal education and learned to read and write later in life, he was one of the most brilliant strategists and statisticians of Washington's military leaders. He played a significant role in American victories at the battles of Saratoga and Cowpens. His life and military career will be explored in this talk.
