What I Like About Art I Didn't Like
Class - In Person & Zoom | Available (Membership Required)
Traditional art was everywhere while traveling in Europe but slower to take hold was an appreciation of Modern and Contemporary Art. Our speaker will share some of what called out, appealed - or didn't - from newer works. How is Renoir both traditional and modern? What appeals in Georgia O'Keefe's non-floral work? Why challenge Mark Rothko? What's the connection to James Rosenquist? She will share with us her personal journey with some of the newer art from the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk.
