A Virtual Tour of Our Virginia Beach Watersheds

Virginia Beach has seven different watersheds that drain into three different major bodies of water: the Chesapeake Bay, the Albemarle-Pamlico Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean. Each has different characteristics and different challenges, and all are beautiful. This virtual tour will enhance your knowledge and appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us.

Karen Forget

Karen Forget grew up on an organic farm, thus becoming an advocate for the environment. As Director of Lynnhaven River Now since 2005, Karen gives our area a critical voice in public policy decisions from here to the State Capital to protect our natural resources and create clean and healthy waterways. She received her bachelor's from Purdue University and a master's from William & Mary.
