Is a strawberry actually a berry? Are acorns fruits? There are plenty of misconceptions about fruit and how they are classified. This course will dive into the diversity of fruit on this planet. We will discuss the different kinds of fruit, what may eat or use those fruits, and what plants they are associated with.

Devani Jolman

Devani Jolman has a B.S. in Biology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Ecological Sciences focused on botanical research. She has served as a park interpreter and nature center naturalist and presently serves as an educator at Norfolk Botanical Gardens and the Elizabeth River Trail. Devani also maintains membership in multiple botanical societies.
