Humans build. We shape the world around us and leave a mark upon it. This lecture briefly touches on some monumental architecture found in Europe from the Roman period through this century. Through stories, images, and shared wisdom, we will come to better understand some of the thoughts, beliefs, and intentions of monumental architecture as well as some of its lasting legacies.
